Disputes Resolution

The Dubai Employment Board (DEB) acts as an intermediary in the dispute resolution process between job seekers and employers.

The first step in this process is for the Job Seekers to file a complaint about a UAE employment agency if they are not satisfied with its services.  This will include a detailed description of what the company has allegedly done and in addition to this, what the job seeker wants as a resolution.

This complaint will be forwarded by us to the Employment Agency. They will then respond back with in 7 days to us with an explanation, they would also provide us with actions taken to resolve this matter.

The input by the employer will be evaluated by the DEB Staff and forwarded to the job seeker.

Ultimately, a dispute can either be:

Resolved:  In this case job seeker and employment agencies will come to an agreement or DEB will deem the dispute to be over after evaluating both claims. Cases are also marked as resolved when DEB evaluates both scenario based on how it was handled by the agency and it may result in a positive rating for the Agency if DEB establishes goodwill from the Agencies part.

Unresolved:  No response from the Agency in 7 days or the dispute has not been resolved in a timely fashion and may result in a negative evaluation from DEB.
